J. Scott Carlton, 67, of Mason, OH passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 15, 2018 with his family at his side. Scotty was born in Cincinnati, OH to John and Joann Carlton in 1951. He stayed in Cincinnati to go to school and to serve the communities.

Scotty was the beloved husband of Sharleen (nee Massey) Carlton, devoted father of Tim Jernigan (Susan Suttmiller), Kevin Brumagen and the late Carol A. Lamb, dear brother of Melody Carlton, Mary Ann Carlton and the late Jeanne Carlton, loving grandpa of Timothy A. Jernigan, James Jernigan and Amanda (Adam) Maupin, great-grandpa of Kylie A. Jernigan, Brooklynn F. Jernigan and Annielayne G. Maupin.

Committed to Serve was the life of Scott Carlton. He served his country in the US Marine Corps but his passion was to be a Police Officer and dedicate his life to serving and protecting the people of the community. Scott served in Law Enforcement for over 35 years in the Warren County Sheriff's Department, Maineville Police and retired from Hamilton Township Police. He was an Officer, Chief and Assistant Chief throughout his career in Law Enforcement.

Visitation at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, OH on Sunday, September 23, 2018 from 3-7 PM. Funeral Service will be at the funeral home on Monday, September 24th at 11:00 AM. Military Honors and interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery, Mason, OH.
