Janet Lee Benhase

Janet Lee Benhase (nee Santel) 81, of West Chester, OH passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 with her family at her side. Jan is the beloved wife of George J. Benhase, Jr., devoted mother of Michael (Ronda), Daniel (Donna) Benhase and Kathleen (James) Lotz, loving Meme of Christine, Katie (Adam), Michael (Alayne), Angela (Don), Julianne (Christopher), Jennifer (Bryan), Jeffrey (Melissa) and Brian, and great-Meme to Alden, Marcus, Austin, Tanner, Emerson and Theodore.

Jan loved her family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren, kids, teaching and being social. She was a third grade teacher for 25 years in the Lakota School District where she later became assistant principal and was a part of the founding group of the Kaleidoscope (SCOPE), a program for gifted children.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents Melvin and Veronica Santel of Reading, OH.

Visitation at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, OH 45040 on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 from 5-8 PM. Mass of Christian will be at St. Michael Church, 11144 Spinner Avenue, Sharonville, OH 45241 on Wednesday, January 3 at 10:00 AM.
