Maya Grace Collins

"Maya the Magnificent" captured the hearts of all those around her.  Diagnosed at the young age of 7 with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), she courageously battled this disease three times over the past 6 years all the while staying true to her strong and feisty self.  Maya had a zest for life that included a love of dance, horseback riding with her favorite horse, Mimi, and acting. Maya expressed herself through her art which provided an opportunity to help raise childhood cancer awareness and funds for Cincinnati Children's Hospital, AML research department, Leukemia Lymphoma Society and the Dragonfly Foundation. Maya also had a passion and flair for creating her own videos and vlogs where she shared her journey and story with the world.  She will be missed dearly by all that loved her.

Maya is survived by: her parents, Thomas and Bonnie Collins; sister, Annabella Rose Collins; paternal grandparents, Robert and Deanna Collins; maternal grandparents, Linda and Donald Palmer & Charles and Bettie Barbier; uncle, Timothy Collins; and many friends.

As many know, BLUE was Maya's favorite color.  If you are able to attend either service, please wear blue to help celebrate her life.  The Visitation will be held Thursday, October 12, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at St. Susanna Catholic Church, 616 Reading Road, Mason, Ohio 45040.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, October 13, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Susanna Church.
