Jack Teegarden, age 76, of West Chester, Ohio, went home to be with our Lord and Savior Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at West Chester Hospital. He was born Wednesday, June 4, 1941 in Brooksville, Kentucky.
Jack served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was blessed with a beautiful voice and sang bass in several gospel quartets. It was not uncommon for him to sing to you as a greeting. Church was a strong foundation in his life and he was active with Madison Avenue Baptist Church in Covington, Kentucky and Landmark Baptist Temple in Cincinnati, Ohio. Jack's family was very important to him and he found enjoyment watching his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow into who they are today.
Jack was preceded in death by: his mother, Alma Rae Teegarden; and a granddaughter, Lacy Shay Teegarden.
Jack is survived by: his wife, Wilma (nee Simpson) Teegarden; children, Connie Tackett, Jack (Tammy) Teegarden and Julie Teegarden; grandchildren, Haley McNeely, Cory Tackett, Jack C. Teegarden, James Teegarden, Zoe Hicks, Grace Hicks and John Hicks; great-grandchildren, Avah McNeely, Aidan Teegarden, Olivia Mitchell, William Hoppe and Henry Tackett; sister, Mary Thornberry; brother, Bill Teegarden; and many other loving family members, church family and friends.
