Melody S. Patrick

Melody S. Patrick (nee Merrell), age 69, of Mason, Ohio passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospital.  She was born Thursday, November 6, 1947 in Cincinnati, Ohio to James and Gladys Merrell.

Melody was a proud to be a wife and mom, but being a mamaw put the biggest smile on her face.  You would never go hungry in the Patrick household as she loved to cook.  Her spaghetti and meatballs were a family favorite and one that no one will be able to duplicate.

A kidney transplant recipient twice, Melody lived life to the fullest.  She enjoyed going on cruises and visiting Las Vegas.  In Melody's opinion, there was nothing better than a little retail therapy, shopping always makes you feel better!

Melody was preceded in death by: her parents, James and Gladys Merrell; daughter, Kelly Seyfriend; and sisters, Joy and Darcie.

Melody is survived by: her loving husband of 40 years, J. Lee Patrick; step-daughters, Cheryl (Lance) Angle and Shawn (Aaron) Cowan; grandchildren, Codi, Alex, Logan, Somer, Jack and Sam; half-sisters, Charlene Masminster and Patricia Mondary; and many loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 10, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040.  A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 7:00 PM at the Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Melody be directed to National Kidney Association, 615 Elsinore Pl #400, Cincinnati, OH 45202.
