Angelia R. Douglas (nee Burns), 69,
of Mason, OH passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 10, 2017. She is the beloved wife of Donald Douglas for 49 years, devoted mother of Cheri (Tom) Aldrich and Cindy (Ryan) Battelle, dear sister of Johnsie (Bob) Davis, loving grandma of Rebecca, Lauren and Sarah Aldrich and Claire Battelle, devoted Aunt to Chris (Renee) Roberts.
Angelia was a light in the lives of all who knew her for her kindness, sensitivity, and selflessness. She raised two fine daughters. She enriched the lives of countless elementary school students as a librarian aide in the Norwood City School system.
Angelia spent much of her free time the past decade sewing and embroidering blankets, clothing, and household items for her children and grandchildren. Sewing was a passion she used to provide keepsakes for her family and friends, working tirelessly for months to craft each individual creation.
Her grandchildren were the joy of her later years, and she worked with seemingly limitless energy and creativity on all manner of blankets, accessories, doll clothing - virtually any whim or fancy the children could concieve. They will cherish these heirlooms as mementos of their grandmother the rest of their lives.
Angelia is survived by her husband Donald and her two children, having been preceeded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held at Lakota Hills Baptist Church, 6300 Tylersville Road, West Chester, OH 45069 on Thursday, June 15 from 10 AM until the funeral Service at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Hospice of Cincinnati, P.O. Box 633597, Cincinnati, OH 45263.
