Durant Starling Mathis

Durant S. Mathis, 64, proud father of Chris (Christy) Mathis, Debra (Salina Leist) Mathis, and Drew (Ashley) Vranizan; loving grandfather of Jacob Estes, Justin Mathis, Cassidy Mathis, Delaney Mathis, Jaxon Keith, and Joshua Davis; brother of David Mathis and Dale (Sherree) Mathis, passed away suddenly on September 15, 2016.

Durant was a Navy Veteran. He enjoyed building all kinds of models; ships, airplanes, and cars.  He was in the process of building a complete train set with city buildings and an airport surrounding the track. Drawing was also something that he enjoyed.

There will be a funeral procession from Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040, meeting at 9:00 AM on Thursday, September 22, 2016 leading to a graveside service at Dayton National Cemetery 4100 W. 3rd Street, Dayton, OH, 45428 at 10:00 AM.
