Alice Marie Woodward

Alice Marie Woodward (nee Long), of Lebanon, Ohio, passed away September 27, 2023, at the age of 78.  She was born in Fairborn, Ohio at the Wright-Patterson AFB Hospital to Eugene and Pauline (nee Pendell) Long.

Born with musical talent, Alice played the viola, piano, hand bells, and was blessed with a beautiful voice.  After graduating from Colonel White Highschool in Dayton, Ohio; Alice received a full scholarship to The Ohio State University for Voila.  She returned to Dayton after one year to get married and start a family.  Alice eventually earned a bachelor’s degree in clinical counseling from Antioch University and a master’s degree in clinical counseling from the Cincinnati Bible College.  Alice helped countless people over her lifetime working both in private practice as well as with several Drug/Alcohol and Youth rehabilitation centers.

Spending time outdoors in her gardens and watching the birds always brought a smile to her face.  Alice loved to go camping and relax around the campfire in the evening with her family and friends.  A sports enthusiast, Alice was a fan of Univ. of Cincinnati Basketball and the Cincinnati Reds.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Pauline Long.

Alice is survived by: sons, Tony (Missy) Woodward and Andy (Michelle) Woodward; grandchildren, Sarah, Abby, AJ, Zach (Danielle), Josh, Rebekah, Michael, Rachel, and Esther; great-grandchildren, Maisie and Leo; siblings, Greg (Lori Nelson) Long and David Long; and many loving family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life ceremony in honor of Alice will be held on Sunday, October 15, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040.  Afterwards feel free to join the Family for refreshments and food graciously provided by Alice’s church, Compass Christian Church from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, 6771 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Reach Out Lakota or Mason Food Pantry .
