Audie Franklin Robinson, Jr., affectionately known to many as Frank or The Kid, passed away in Wilmington, Ohio, on June 19, 2026, having lived a life marked by extraordinary spirit and a resilience that defied every expectation. Born on August 25, 1960, in Middletown, Ohio, Frank’s journey was one of unwavering dedication, vibrant adventure, and heartfelt connections.

Frank was the kind of person whose presence was truly “bigger than life.” He had an innate ability to make friends wherever he went—he never met a stranger. His laughter was infectious, his stories legendary, often leaving friends and family in stitches, overcome by his unique humor and gift for spinning a tale. Animals, too, recognized his gentle nature. They were drawn to him instantly, sensing in him a trusted soul.

After finishing high school, Frank found his calling in the great outdoors. He began his working life in landscaping, a field that allowed him to cultivate not only gardens, but also lasting bonds within his community. His passion and dedication led him to Valley Hei Farms, where he rose to the position of manager and caretaker. For 39 years, Frank poured his heart into the farm, shaping its land and legacy with the same care and devotion he brought to every aspect of his life.

Frank’s love for the outdoors extended well beyond his professional life. An avid darts player and a keen golfer, he felt most at home in the open air. Fishing, hunting, and especially ice fishing were among his favorite pursuits, as was the peaceful labor of gardening. Whether scuba diving in the crystalline waters of Belize—one of his cherished destinations—or riding on dirt bikes and his beloved Harley Davidson, Frank’s adventurous spirit was ever apparent. For ten years, he looked forward to his yearly trips to Florida, where snorkeling, shell hunting, and memory-making with loved ones became treasured traditions.

Those closest to Frank remember his deep affection for his cats, Blue Boy, June Bug, and Miss Miss. His gentle care for his pets mirrored the warmth he showed to all living beings. Above all, Frank was most proud of finding that one special person who could love him unconditionally, without judgment—his wife, Paula Robinson (nee Wheeler). Their bond was the centerpiece of his life, a source of profound happiness, comfort, and strength.

Frank was preceded in death by: his parents, Audie Franklin Robinson, Sr. and Eva Eunice Robinson (nee Pennington); and his sister, Ella Ann Robinson.

Frank is survived by: his wife, Paula; sisters, Gina (Arron) Tate and Donna (Billy) Bowman; several nieces and nephews; and many loving friends he cherished as family.

Though gone from this world, Frank’s laughter, kindness, and love of life will endure in the hearts of all who were privileged to know him.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 25, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Rd, Mason, OH 45040.
