October 10, 1955 - October 19, 2025

Brian David Hanna, a beloved husband, brother and uncle, born on October 10, 1955, passed away on October 19, 2025 at the age of 70, a goal he was proud to reach

To many, Brian was a vibrant soul whose zest for life was palpable. He had a love for adventure that saw him sail, hike, bike and climb, regardless of the season or the weather and always relishing the challenges.

Brian pursued his education at THE Ohio State University where he began his love affair with Buckeye football and his fraternity Sigma Phi Epsilon. He received his Bachelor of Business degree from Cleveland State University and embarked on his professional career in Business with Data Processing Sciences and retiring as Vice President of Carrier Services after 27 years of service.

As a young adult Brian experienced a life threatening illness that challenged him throughout his life but left him with a zest for life, gratitude, humor and a fine appreciation for Jim Beam and craft beer. Brian was also known for his wide-ranging interest in music. He was teaching himself to play guitar, and often entertained the neighbors with his uniquely curated “Firepit” concerts

As Brian became involved in shooting sports, he excelled as a skilled range officer, ensuring participants were competing safely, As a result of these experiences, Brian and Deb were able to travel the globe.

Throughout his life Brian loved to hunt and his family will be forever grateful to his hunting buddies who helped him so much and figured out a way for him to continue to hunt, even at the end of his life when his mobility was limited.

Brian was predeceased by his parents David and Charlotte, and is survived by his wife Deborah, his brother Keith, sister-in-law Tonne, niece Kira - who Brian adored - and two new family members, Elijah and Jack Collins. A multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends can be found across both the country and world.
