Carolyn Hamlin

Carolyn Alice Hamlin (née Bunnell), age 74, of Liberty Township, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Lansing, Michigan, Carolyn built a life defined by determination, compassion to learn, and commitment to her family. She is survived by her devoted husband of 53 years, Mark Edward Hamlin; her daughters, Sarah Hamlin Johnston (Mark) and Natalie Hamlin Edwards (Ryan); her four beloved grandchildren: Alex, Carter, Aubrey, and Aiden; and her brother, Donald Bunnell (Mary).

Carolyn spent her career as a financial advisor with Edward Jones, where she took great pride in guiding people toward financial stability and peace of mind. Her clients were more than clients, they were people she truly cared for.

A lifelong learner and passionate traveler, Carolyn explored six of the world’s seven continents, from Australia to the Amazon. She embraced every trip as an opportunity to explore, learn, and connect. At home, she found joy in reading, swimming, eating pizza, taking online college courses, and spending time with her family. Nothing delighted her more than hearing the jokes and laughter of her grandchildren. She had a deep love for animals, especially dogs, and carried a gentle spirit throughout her life.

Carolyn faced a rare neurological disease, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), with strength and grace. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is now at peace.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cure PSP supporting research and families affected by PSP, or to Animal Friends Humane Society, honoring Carolyn’s lifelong love of animals.

Her love, kindness, and determination will be carried forward by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10th from 4:00-6:00pm with a memorial service at 6:00pm all at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, OH 45040.
