Dale Thomas Francis Pauly, born on October 9, 1952, departed this life on January 14, 2026. He lived a life rich in passion and creativity, leaving behind a legacy of love for both his family and the interests that brought him joy. For many years, Dale dedicated his career as a Technical Writer at General Electric, where he applied his expertise and keen attention to detail.

Education played a vital role in Dale's life, culminating in an Associates degree in Engineering from the University of Cincinnati. This strong technical background served as a foundation for his successful career and personal pursuits.

Dale was a man of diverse interests, most notably his unwavering love for aviation. His fascination with flight led him on countless trips to the Air Force Museum and attended hundreds of air shows, where he marveled at the incredible displays of skill and engineering. He also enjoyed exploring the world of remote control planes, a hobby that blended his love for aviation with creativity.

Music was another profound element of Dale’s life. His passion resonated deeply within him as he played guitar with remarkable skill, sharing this love for music with his sons. He embraced the sounds of the 60s and 70s, with bands like The Beatles and The Byrds resonating in his heart. He made it a point to attend concerts every night during the summer months, savoring the melodies even if singing was not his strongest talent.

Dale also reveled in the great outdoors, often found sailing and racing his beloved Hobie Cat boats, where he won many local races. His love for the water extended beyond sailing; when he could no longer sail, he turned to remote control boats, continuing to find joy in the sport. Vacations to the beaches of Siesta Key and the mountains of Gatlinburg brought him immense happiness, reflecting his adventurous spirit and love for travel.

Family was of paramount importance to Dale. He was the beloved husband of Carol (nee Fibbe) Pauly, whom he married on February 19, 1983, at Mother of God Church in Covington, KY. Together, they built a nurturing home filled with laughter and love. Dale was a proud father to his sons, Alex (Samantha) Pauly and Andrew Pauly, and he took immense pride in watching them grow into responsible young adults. His grandsons, Conor Thomas Pauly and Luke Wayne Pauly, were additional sources of joy for him, and he cherished the time spent with them.

Dale's siblings - William (Angie) Pauly, Robert (Sue) Pauly, John (Karen) Pauly, and his sister Mary Ann (Kelly Donaldson) Pauly and many nieces and nephews - remained significant figures in his life, embodying the warmth of family ties.

In addition to his devoted wife and loving family, Dale is mourned by many caring friends who were fortunate to share in his journey. He is predeceased by his parents, Albert William and Helen Frances (nee Mueller) Pauly. As we remember Dale Thomas Pauly, let us celebrate a man who embraced life with open arms, shared his passions generously, and took deep pride in the family he adored.
