Donald Edward Inderhees, born on January 18, 1950, in Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on December 8, 2025, in Mason, Ohio. He leaves behind a legacy characterized by dedication, service, and an infectiously unique sense of humor.
Don enjoyed a distinguished career, retiring as the Vice President of Sales, a role in which his exceptional talent was often recognized—the man could sell ice to Eskimos. This skill was complemented by a deep commitment to his friends and a service-oriented approach to life that made every interaction special. Don had an extraordinary gift for creating memorable moments, forging bonds that resonated deeply with those he encountered.
An alum of the Class of 1968 at Elder High School, Don worked tirelessly for eight years at night school to earn his bachelor's degree, exemplifying his strong work ethic and commitment to personal growth. His military service in the United States Army which began in 1970 instilled in him values that defined his character, including resilience, dedication, and a drive to serve others.
As a devoted husband, Don shared a profound bond with his beloved wife, Rhonda Ann (nee Wagner) Inderhees, who predeceased him. He was a proud father to his sons, Joseph "Joe" (wife, Lauren) Inderhees and Daniel "Danny" (wife, Sarah) Inderhees, whose accomplishments brought him immense pride. Don cherished watching his boys grow into extraordinary fathers themselves, demonstrating the care and guidance that he imparted over the years.
A family man, Don is survived by his grandchildren, Hallie Joe Inderhees and Ryan Inderhees, who will carry forward the warmth, humor, and love he radiated. His siblings include Jean Kreimer, Sister Carol Louis Inderhees, RSM, Mary Helen Gutzwiller, Tom (Rose) Inderhees, and Janet (Michael) McDonald, along with many loving nieces, nephews, and cherished friends who were like family to him.
The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to the medical teams whose efforts saved Don's life on multiple occasions, bestowing upon them the gift of his love.
As they reflect on his life, the family remembers a man who ran the good race and fought the good fight. Now, he rests peacefully with his best friend.
