Donna Kay Brown

February 7, 1954 - November 1, 2025

Donna Kay Brown, born on February 7, 1954, to Junior and Judy Phelps in Hamilton, Ohio, passed peacefully on November 1, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Donna is survived by her devoted husband of 30 years, David Brown; her children Tami (Jason) Dugas of Louisville, Kentucky; Scot (Priscilla) Ellis of Lebanon, Ohio; Kenny (Brooke) Ellis of Lebanon, Ohio; and stepson Chris Brown of Centerville, Ohio. She was a proud and adoring grandmother to Courtney (Joe) Miller, Aleah (Dustin) Wallingford, Brendan (Emma) Dugas, Karley Dugas, Chase Ellis, Haley Ellis, and Kinley Ellis; and a cherished great-grandmother to Sadie Miller, as well as Harper Rose Miller and Bailey Dugas, both expected in March 2026.

Family was Donna's greatest joy. She delighted in celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays, always bringing her loved ones together. Her favorite pastime was playing games-especially marbles-and enjoying quiet moments on the swing of her deck.

At the age of 25, Donna came to know Jesus as her Savior, beginning a lifelong journey of faith. She developed a deep love for the Bible and her church community, leading many women's Bible studies, singing in choirs, and volunteering with a servant's heart. She was a faithful listener to Charles Stanley, Jack Hibbs, Mark Jobe, and Gary Hamrick. Even during her courageous five-year battle with ovarian cancer, Donna remained a beacon of faith, often wearing shirts with messages like "Faith over Fear" and "It's all about Jesus" to her appointments. She never missed an opportunity to share the hope she found in Christ.

Donna worked in various roles throughout her life, ultimately retiring from Denver Wholesale Florist. She was a gifted planner, scrapbooker, and seamstress, always creating beauty and order in the lives of those around her.

In her final months, Donna was deeply moved by the outpouring of love she received. Cards, calls, texts, and visits revealed the profound impact she had made. Prayers were lifted for her from churches across the United States, and even from believers in Mexico and Venezuela.

Donna's absence is deeply felt, but her legacy of love, faith, and joy lives on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her family and friends look forward to the grand reunion with her one day.

Her favorite Bible verse was Jeremiah 29:11:

*"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
