Doreen Schowalter

Doreen T. (nee D’Souza) Schowalter, 71 of Mason, passed away on April 14, 2024. Born to John and Lucy (nee D’Cunha) D’Souza on April 4, 1953, in Madras, India.

Doreen was warm, open, and honest. She could meet a stranger and become instant friends. She had a welcoming smile and found joy in getting to know new people.

Doreen enjoyed cooking daily, watching movies and traveling to Ireland with her husband, Wayne.

A volunteer at St Susanna Catholic church for many years, her faith was very important to her.

Preceded in death by her parents, John, and Lucy D’Souza.

Doreen is survived by her beloved husband, Earl Wayne Schowalter, children, Benjamin (Erin) Colaco, Caleb (Kayla) Schowalter and Rachel Schowalter, and her siblings, Terry (Linda) D’Souza, Tina (Alwyn) D’Souza, Colin (Joy) D’Souza and Freda D’Souza.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 17th from 5:00-7:00pm at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, OH 45040. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 18th at 10:30am at Gate of Heaven-Chapel, 11000 Montgomery Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45249.

Memorial donations may be made in her name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
