Dorothy Denise Gilbert

Dorothy Denise Gilbert, of Middletown, Ohio, passed away peacefully July 31, 2024 at the age of 66.  She was born December 4, 1957 in Toledo, Ohio to Robert Lee and Phyllis Jean (nee White) Dunaway.

Dottie was born to be a matriarch.  With a spunky and fiery personality, she found joy and contentment in caring for and providing for her family.  Her happiness came from seeing those she loved happy.  Dottie collected Precious Moments with over 200 figurines.

Dottie was preceded in death by: parents, Robert and Phyllis Dunaway; brother, Robert "Bo" Dunaway; sister, Tonya Henry; and uncle, John Davis.

Dottie is survived by: daughter, Tricia Boggs; grandchildren, James (Kyla) Lawson, Katlyn Boggs, and Emma Boggs; aunts and uncles, Barbara Davis, Norma White, Linda (Mike) Bole, and Glen (Gloria) White; and many cherished family members and friends.

A service to Celebrate Dottie’s Life will be held at a later date.
