Elizabeth Kelly Williamson

Elizabeth Kelly Williamson, 48, passed away on July 2, 2026 after fighting a variety of health conditions. Elizabeth was a very devoted wife, a fiercely protective and loving mother of her two daughters, and a unique person with a wonderful sense of humor and a strong curiosity about the world.

Elizabeth was born in August of 1977. Her parents were Martin and Sandra Kelly, and she grew up with five siblings as her family moved around the country. Elizabeth had a spontaneous and independent spirit, and was interested in music, fashion, and design. She was also a talented gymnast when she was young. Elizabeth always had a keen and practical intellect and offered insightful views about the world around her.

Elizabeth graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Economics. She married the love of her life, Shane Williamson, in 2005. Together, they brought two wonderful children, Audrey and Lindsey, into the world.

Elizabeth worked as a bookkeeper for Shane’s contracting business, and worked with Shane as he remodeled houses. Elizabeth adored Shane and took great pride in their work together.

Elizabeth spent most of her time raising Audrey and Lindsey, whom she loved dearly. She was a nurturing mother who knew how to laugh with her kids. For instance, she took pride in giving her daughters both “some really funny presents and some great ones too.” As she battled through a series of ailments, Elizabeth showed great grit and determination. She was also so grateful to Shane, Audrey, and Lindsey for helping her when she became ill.

She enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds on television with Shane, drinking coffee, and spending time with friends that she had known for decades. She also loved The Cure, and she was very excited to meet Robert Smith, the leader of the band, along with her friends. Notwithstanding her excitement, she was so composed when they met that he commented that “you must be the quiet one,” which greatly amused her. Elizabeth shared her love of music with her daughters.

Elizabeth was survived by her husband, Shane, her daughters, Audrey and Lindsey, her siblings, Kimberly Kelly Smiddy, David (Caryl) Kelly, Brian (Mary-Alis) Kelly, Mike (Kristi) Kelly, Tricia (John) Gavigan, and many nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Sandra, and her grandparents, Verna and Paul Niederman and Neil and Margaret Kelly.

Elizabeth was loved very much and will be missed immensely. She left us far too young.
