Emily Marie Cook, born on May 16, 1998, in Cincinnati, Ohio, left us on December 1, 2025, in Mason, Ohio.
Emily worked two jobs, went to school full-time, and was a full-time mother, dedicated to being the most amazing mom she could be to her beloved son, Isaac Delong. Her relationship with Isaac was her proudest accomplishment, as she tirelessly worked to provide him with fun and joyful experiences, even when time and resources were limited. Emily was always eager to learn and share her knowledge with others. She was truly passionate about achieving success in life and loved to support those around her.
Emily’s personality was multifaceted; she possessed a keen sense of humor and loved to have a good time. Known for her contagious laugh and radiant smile, friends often sought to provoke it, just to experience its joy. Strong in her opinions, she was a great advisor to many, providing wisdom and support whenever necessary. Emily was passionate about music, enjoying all genres, and loved to sing and dance like no one was watching.
In her leisure time, she cherished creating memories with her life partner, Tom Grant, and their boys, engaging in numerous activities such as visiting arcades, attending Reds games, going to trampoline parks, and enjoying family trips to Kings Island. Emily also had a love for trying new restaurants and wines, along with traveling to various locations, recently including St. Louis, Chicago, Nashville, Denver, and the annual family vacation to Florida.
Emily is survived by her son, Isaac Delong; father, Mark Cook; sister, Julianna (Milton) Greek; brothers, Jeff Shawler, Andrew (Amanda) Shawler, and Christopher Cook; grandmother, Marilyn (Monte) Humphries; nieces and nephew, Alexxis Amos, Kalli Shawler, and Zaire Greek; and many beloved aunts and uncles. She leaves behind countless loving family members and friends who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Jennifer (nee Moore) Cook; grandfather, Glen (Johanna) Cook; grandmother, Janet (Milton) Wuest; and grandfather, Donald Moore. Emily passed away peacefully in her sleep due to a seizure, a circumstance that offers solace to her loved ones, knowing she did not suffer or comprehend what was happening in her final moments.
Emily Marie Cook will be deeply missed, leaving behind a legacy enriched with love, laughter, and cherished memories. A visitation in her honor will be held on December 15, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Mueller Funeral Home, located at 6791 Tylersville Rd, Mason, OH. A Celebration of Life will follow from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at 10831 Sharondale Rd. Sharonville, OH. Those who knew her are encouraged to come together, celebrating the impactful life she lived and the joy she brought to so many.
