KOREAN WAR VETERAN

Gene "Geno" Ellerman , 93, of West Chester passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023. Gene was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to George and Helen (Kotz) Ellerman.

Gene was a man that had a very interesting 93-year life. He was drafted into the Korean War and was stationed in Japan where he learned to speak Japanese. He served in the Counterintelligence Corp of the Army, currently known as the CIA. One of his hobbies was flying, and he acquired his pilot’s license. Gene and his wife, Lou, enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas and going to the casinos to gamble. He was gifted with an amazing memory being able to recall things in detail from his childhood until present day. And if you knew Gene, you know he loved watching the stock market every day of the week. Gene was self-employed as a CPA from 1973 until he retired to Florida at age 62. He will be missed.

Gene is the beloved husband of the late Lucille, devoted father of Robert 'Bob' (Kandy) Ellerman, loving grandfather of Lauren (Travis) Le and Brian (Ashley) Ellerman and great-grandfather of Harper and Theo Le, dear brother of the late George (Rita) Ellerman, also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial visitation will be at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, OH 45040 on Saturday, January 21, 2023 from 1:00 PM until time of Service at 2:00 PM. Reception to follow service in the Mueller Family Center.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Cincinnati Children's NICU unit.
