Gabriela Toledo Medina

Gabriela Toledo Medina, 55, passed away March 28th 2026, surrounded by her family in her home in Mason, Ohio.

Born in Mexico City on April 2nd 1970, Gabriela was the youngest of two sisters, a pair of trouble-making girls that kept their youthful sibling relationship very alive until the very end. Alongside her husband, Hector Hugo, Gabriela came to Cincinnati in 1999 to build a life. Together they constructed a new home in a new world to give their children better lives.

Over her lifetime she had a few different roles like bank teller, retail assistant and manager but the one that she’ll be remembered for the most is for being a mom. Audacious, proud, and fiercely passionate about her children, she lovingly raised 3 human kids and 1 canine child that are very proud to call her mom.

Gabi was also very passionate about style, clothes, and telenovelas, she had a personality bigger than all of the state of Ohio and livelier than the songs of Mexico. She’d never step out of the house without looking like a million and one bucks. She lived life like her coffee, strongly and boldly.

She is survived by her four children, Hector, Manuel, Gabi, and Simba, her sister Lucia, her loving parents Lucia and Jorge with whom she talked every day, multiple times per day, a close network of friends, and her devoted husband, Hector Hugo Medina.

A memorial service will take place at Mueller Funeral Home Thursday April 2nd 2026 at 4pm EST.

She taught us to fight hard and live fully. We will.

Gabriela Toledo Medina, de 55 años, falleció el 28 de marzo de 2026, rodeada de su familia en su hogar en Mason, Ohio.

Nacida en la Ciudad de México el 2 de abril de 1970, Gabriela fue la menor de dos hermanas, un par de niñas traviesas que mantuvieron esa complicidad juvenil muy viva hasta el final. Junto a su esposo, Héctor Hugo, Gabriela llegó a Cincinnati en 1999 para construir una vida. Juntos levantaron un nuevo hogar en un nuevo mundo para darles a sus hijos una vida mejor.

A lo largo de su vida desempeñó varios roles — cajera bancaria, asistente de ventas, gerente — pero el que más la definió fue el de mamá. Audaz, orgullosa y apasionada hasta los huesos por sus hijos, crió amorosamente a 3 hijos humanos y 1 hijo canino que se sienten muy orgullosos de llamarla mamá.

Gabi también era una apasionada del estilo, la ropa y las telenovelas. Tenía una personalidad más grande que todo el estado de Ohio y más alegre que las canciones de México. Jamás salía de casa sin verse de un millón y cacho. Vivió la vida como su café: fuerte y con todo.

La sobreviven sus cuatro hijos, Héctor, Manuel, Gabi y Simba; su hermana Lucía; sus adorados padres Lucía y Jorge, con quienes hablaba todos los días, varias veces al día; una red cercana de amigos, y su devoto esposo, Héctor Hugo Medina.

Un servicio memorial se llevará a cabo en Mueller Funeral Home el jueves 2 de abril de 2026 a las 4:00 p.m. EST.
