Genevieve F. Poling

Genevieve F. Poling, known affectionately as Jenny, passed away on December 21, 2025, in Mason, Ohio. Born on May 17, 1934, in Warren, Ohio, she was a dedicated Registered Nurse whose remarkable career included delivering a baby over the phone during an emergency when services were unable to reach the scene. This incredible act exemplified her commitment to caring for others and her ability to remain calm under pressure.

Jenny was deeply cherished by all who knew her. With a personality that radiated warmth, she truly had a servant's heart, always ready to help those in need. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her professional life; she was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who found joy in the relationships she fostered within her family.

An avid gardener, Jenny dedicated herself to her garden. She was proud of her home-canned vegetables, a talent she continued to embrace even at the age of 90. Jenny’s passion for nurturing plants mirrored her approach to life - she cultivated love and care in everything she did.

She is survived by her children, Paula Needham (Rick Dirkes), James Poling, Frank (Tammy "TSP") Poling, and Genny (Steve) Araujo. Jenny’s legacy continues through her grandchildren, Kristy Ann Needham, Amy Davis, Donnie Needham, Amanda (James) Edens, Steven (Jessica) Poling, and Nick (Lizzy) Araujo. Additionally, she is remembered fondly by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Jenny was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Poling, her parents, Stephen and Anna (nee Piowarsy) Toporcer, and brothers Jim Toporcer and Louis Toporcer.

The family will hold visitation services on December 29, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Mueller Funeral Home, located at 6791 Tylersville Rd, Mason, Ohio, 45040. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM with a tribute from the Cincinnati Nurses Honor Guard followed by a Prayer Service officiated by Deacon Pat Palumbo.  The family invites you back to Mueller Funeral Home for a light reception following the interment in West Chester Cemetery.
