George Ellison Hulsizer, age 86 of Bonita Springs, FL and West Chester, OH passed away at home on Thursday, March 12, 2026 in Florida. He was born on July 10, 1939 in Plainfield, NJ to Sidney and Hazel Hulsizer of Fanwood, NJ.

George attended Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA, where he met and married Beverly Schuyler on May 4, 1963. Upon his graduation with a degree in Industrial Engineering, he was promptly drafted into the United States Army and assigned to Yuma Proving Ground in Arizona. His lifelong interest in mathematics supported his work in ordnance and vehicle testing at the installation. George and Beverly welcomed their first daughter, Amy, while he completed his military service. His first civilian job brought him back to the East Coast, where their second daughter, Beth, was born in Dover, Delaware.

George and Beverly enjoyed a 45-year marriage which was cut short after her sudden death in July 2008. He was blessed to find a wonderful partner in Robin Turner in the years that followed, and they were married in February 2011. George and Robin enjoyed 15 joyful years of marriage before his death.

George was an avid golfer but was frequently dissatisfied with his performance on the course. He did, however, have 2 holes-in-one . . . one when he was playing by himself and another one that was witnessed. George was also a Philadelphia Eagles fan and was delighted by their Super Bowl victories in 2018 and 2025.

George had a lovely bass voice, singing around the house as well as in church choirs and ensembles at Landmark Baptist Temple and Tri-County Baptist Church. He possessed an extraordinary memory for seemingly useless information, a talent that made him a standout in any trivia contest. He valued and maintained his friendships with couples he met during his days in the Army in the early 1960s and those with which he crossed paths.

George read his Bible every day and faithfully completed an annual cover‑to‑cover reading starting in 1976. He loves his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ and is now worshipping Him in heaven.

George Hulsizer is survived by his wife, Robin Hulsizer (nee Turner), daughters Amy Fernandez (Herb) and Beth Kincaid (Jim), brothers Jerry Hulsizer and Jon Hulsizer (Michelle). He was especially proud of his many grandchildren: Emma Kincaid, Isaac Emery, Ethan Emery (Hayley), Daniel Fernandez, Nick Fernandez (Avigail), David Fernandez, Erin Kincaid, and Claire Kincaid.

He was preceded in death by his wife Beverly Hulsizer (nee Schuyler) and his parents Sid and Hazel Hulsizer.

A funeral and celebration of life service will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026 at Mueller Funeral Home at 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, OH. Visitation is planned from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with the celebration of life at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at West Chester Brookside Cemetery.
