Gloria J. Pena-Quezada, née Javorsky, peacefully passed away on May 22, 2026, at West Chester Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born on February 2, 1934, in Morgantown, Pennsylvania, Gloria lived a life marked by warmth, creativity, and devotion to those she cherished most.
A graduate of Ronco High School, Gloria was celebrated as the Homecoming Queen, a testament to the personable and friendly spirit that endeared her to all who met her. Throughout her life, she maintained that same open heart and welcoming nature, never meeting a stranger and always making others feel valued.
Gloria’s career was devoted to the world of Interior Design, a passion she carried with dedication and expertise throughout her life. She worked extensively in boutiques, both self-employed and for various companies, expressing her love for clothes and design with a unique flair and insight. Her professional journey was one of creativity and commitment, influencing countless spaces and styles along the way.
Beyond her career, Gloria treasured moments spent traveling, playing cards,movies, and hosting dinner parties that brought family and friends together in joyous celebration. These gatherings reflected her warmth and generosity, qualities that defined her presence in the lives of many.
Her proudest accomplishments were her roles as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother – identities she embraced with boundless love and pride. Gloria is survived by her beloved children, Richard Simpson, Renee(Chris),and John DiFranco; her devoted daughter-in-law, Jo-Ann Simpson; and her cherished grandchildren, Kristin, Brooke(Tripp), Tess(Tyler), Morgan, Eve, Clay, and Naomi. She was also a beloved great-grandmother to Jireh John and Ezra. These family bonds were the cornerstone of her life and legacy.
Gloria’s memory is also honored in those who preceded her in death: her son Ronald Simpson, her grandchild Alex, her siblings John, Elenor, Evelyn, and Elaine, and her spouse, Salvador Peña Quezada. Though these loved ones have departed, they remain forever in the hearts of all who knew Gloria.
A Celebration of Life to honor Gloria will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Chapel in Chesterwood Village, located at 8073 Tylersville Road, West Chester Ohio, 45069. All who were touched by her kindness and spirit are invited to join in remembering a remarkable woman whose legacy of love, creativity, and friendship will endure in the lives she so deeply touched.
Gloria J. Pena-Quezada’s life was a testament to the beauty of connection and the power of compassion. She leaves behind a precious family and a host of friends and admirers who will carry forward her memory with profound respect and affection.
