https://give.spcacincinnati.org/ Grant Alden Patterson, 35 of Covington, Kentucky passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on June 12, 2021. He was born February, 8 1986 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He spent 20 years in Acton, Massachusetts and graduated from Acton-Boxborough Regional High School and Baystate Community College. He moved back to the Cincinnati area 5 years ago to be close to family.
Grant, a beloved life partner, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend is survived by his love Margaret Mary Bertsch, parents Al and Mary Patterson, sisters Lindsey Patterson Lennon (Seamus Lennon) and Carly Patterson Scanlon (Tyler Patterson Scanlon), nieces Magnolia Patterson Scanlon and Adilyn Lennon and countless family and friends.
Grant was charismatic, thoughtful and kind, careful to look out for the underdogs and a devoted friend. He was funny to a fault. He was always present in conversation and would make you feel like he listened to your every word regardless of who was speaking or what topic.
He had a wild streak and as a child he would fearlessly climb trees and then ask for help down. He was a natural athlete, excelling in swimming and baseball. He was also a star dancer in elementary school.
Grant was an animal lover especially of dogs. His childhood dog Cha Cha was his constant companion and most recently his beloved dog Norbert. He had an amazing ability to call dolphins in the ocean on family trips to Florida.
Grant was a fun and loving uncle to his nieces. He enjoyed spoiling them.
Grant was resilient and determined in all his endeavors. He pursued his education throughout his adult life. He was a wonderful writer and a natural engineer. He always wanted to know how things worked from mechanics to food. He was a master BMW technician and most recently a sommelier level two and had just started his dream job.
A gentle, loving, growing man, he will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of his life will be held at Mueller Funeral home in Mason, Ohio on Saturday, June 19, 2021 with visitation from 2-3 PM and a service at 3:00 PM. A live stream will be available. Due to family health issues the family request masks be worn while at the visitation and service.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations in Grant's name be made to Cincinnati SPCA or Boston Children's.
