H. Lee Schaeffer, 83 of West Chester, passed away on September 8, 2025. Born to Harold and Blanche (nee Chartrand) Schaeffer on May 4, 1942, in Niskayuna, New York.

Lee is survived by his beloved wife, Susan (nee Wurz) Schaeffer, children, Amy (Santiago) Abreu, Carrie Carter and Samantha Armstrong, grandchildren, Derek (Tiffany) Carter, Joshua Carter, Madison Schaeffer, and Sophia Armstrong, great grandchildren, Brantley and Abigail Carter, Alaric and Arlo Carter and his dear siblings, Diane Meo, Celia (Andy) Sorrel, Paul Schaeffer and Carol Schaeffer.

Lee was a dedicated veteran in the United States Navy serving in Vietnam.

Lee worked over 30 years for GE Aircraft Engines and dedicated his time and service to the industry. He retired from GE where he worked as an Equipment Engineer.

Lee had a passion for golf and fishing, specifically at Dale Hollow, deep-sea fishing. When Lee retired, he purchased a new 2000 Prowler as his retirement reward. Lee and Sue made many trips traveling with the Prowler Group to different cities and fun events. They enjoyed the camaraderie of the group for many years.

Preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, Louis Meo.

The family will say their "goodbyes" privately and a Celebration will take place at a later date.
