Jeffrey David Levengood

Jeffrey David Levengood, known as Jeff, was born on September 11, 1978, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He passed away on August 10, 2025, in West Chester, Ohio. Jeff graduated from Moeller High School in 1997, earned his bachelor's degree from Ohio State University in 2001, and completed his PhD in biochemistry at OSU in 2007.

His career began with research at the University of Cincinnati, which continued at Miami University in Oxford, and ultimately concluded at Case Western. He was known for his quiet demeanor, private nature, and a sense of humor that resonated with those who knew him. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Jeff was an avid reader, often seen with a book in hand while watching sports on television. He held a deep passion for Star Wars, video games, and was a fan of all sports.

Jeff is survived by his parents, Donald and Helen (nee Neumeister) Levengood; his sister, Dr. Jennifer (Jeremy) Hagenschneider; his nephew, Isaac Hagenschneider; his niece, Hannah Hagenschneider; and his best friend of 40 years, Cameron "Cam" (Lisa) Kloesz, along with their children, Lexina, Joshua, Grady, and Frederic Kloesz. He was proud to be known as Godfather Jeff to his Godchildren, Grady and Frederic Kloesz.

He was preceded in death by his infant nephew, Jakob Hagenschneider.

Services for Jeffrey David Levengood will be held on August 21, 2025, at St. Susanna Catholic Church in Mason, Ohio. Visitation will start at 10:00 AM, followed by a Mass at 11:00 AM. The services will conclude at 12:00 PM.
