Joann Walker (nee Keilen), 74 of West Chester, passed away on August 5, 2025. Born to Robert and Josephine (nee Sullivan) Keilen on December 27, 1950, in Detroit, Michigan.
Joann was a library aid for Lakota Schools for 23 years. She dedicated her love of reading and children to the school district. She enjoyed showing books to children and instilling her passion for reading. Joann was patient and thoughtful and it showed in her work.
Joann was known for her famous chocolate chip cookies. She had a servant’s heart, if she could help you she would. She devoted her extra time to helping people in all situations, always giving of herself.
Norm and Joann traveled a lot together and marked several places off their bucket list. Joann’s family trips every year were so important to her. Time with her family was precious.
She was fun loving, enjoyed teasing her husband and could always be found with a book in her hand.
Preceded in death by her parents and her young sister, Barbie Keilen.
Joann is survived by her beloved husband, Norm D. Walker, children, Jeff (Jenn) Walker, Janet (Joe) Nagy and Christine (Ben) Henning, nine grandchildren, Bryce, Maddie and Blake Walker, Lily, Gracie, Katy, Emma Nagy and Aria and Ellie Henning, sister, Mary K. (Bruce) Franz and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12th from 5:00-7:00pm at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, OH 45040.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, August 13th at 11:00am with a visitation from 10:00-11:00am all at St John the Evangelist Church, 9080 Cincinnati Dayton Rd, West Chester Township, OH 45069. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
