John Michael Dierig, age 67, peacefully passed away on March 2, 2025, in his home in Maineville, Ohio. Born in Fort Thomas, Kentucky, he was the son of Jack and Joan (nee Sandfoss) Dierig.
John is survived by his cherished partner of 32 years, Raymond Kroger. He leaves behind his siblings Greg Dierig, Bonnie (Rodney) Born, and Donna (Steve) Rath; as well as his beloved sisters-in-law Linda (Tony) Miller, Lois (Paul) Reis, Kris (Dan) Neyer, and brother-in-law Tony (Ann) Kroger. Also mourning his loss are nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many friends.
A devoted dog sitter, John had a profound love for animals, bringing joy to the dogs he cared for and their owners who trusted him. His reliability and nurturing spirit will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched. In addition to his passion for animals, John found great pleasure in spending time outdoors and nurturing his garden.
In honor of John's life and legacy, memorial donations may be made to the Cincinnati Zoo, reflecting his love for wildlife and nature. He will be remembered fondly for his kindness, dedication, and the warmth he brought to those around him.
