John was a pioneer for Innovation, Diversity, & Mentorship at Procter & Gamble for 35 years before continuing to educate minds as a Global Marketing professor at Miami University. He volunteered for many organizations including coaching youth sports throughout his lifetime, P&G recruitment, Rotary club, and other civic and professional societies. He was also a dedicated man of strong Catholic faith.
John was married to his wife, Julie, for 51 years. He loved her beyond words and his goal every day was to make sure that she felt the endless depth of his love. He will continue to watch over her and brighten her days with that immeasurable love until he is able to hold her in his arms again.
John was the greatest dad, cheerleader, teacher, coach, friend, and role model to his children Eimee and Tres. They could not have dreamed of a better father, and they will strive to continue to live out his legacy. He was also an amazing grandfather who adored all five of his grandchildren and – whether it was coaching them, watching them at recitals, reading to them, having dance parties with them, or just being goofy – he absolutely lit up whenever they entered the room. His love extended beyond his immediate family – he was a great brother and friend to his five brothers and two sisters and sister-in-law, and a great inspiration to his countless nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
The family is so grateful for the incredible outpouring of love and remembrance and knows that John is touched by how much care is being shown to Julie and his family during this time. John loved flowers and had a green thumb, and the church will be beautifully decorated with Christmas celebration flowers. Flowers can be sent directly to Mueller Funeral home by Wednesday 12/29. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Michael J Fox foundation .
