Joyce Ann Anderson, a proud Texan known for her creativity, warmth, and devotion to family, passed away on April 17, 2026, in West Chester, Ohio. Born on August 4, 1941, in Vernon, Texas, Joyce lived a life marked by a deep love for her loved ones and a humble spirit that left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
A gifted artist, Joyce had an extraordinary talent for bringing beauty into the world through her paintings, sewing, and quilting. Her hands were skilled in creating intricate and meaningful pieces that reflected her expressive and creative nature. Beyond her artistry, she was a steadfast soul, proud of her Texas roots, and cherished the simple joys of life—finding delight in mystery stories, classic Western films, and the cherished roles she held as a mother, wife, and grandmother.
Joyce’s family was the center of her world. She was the beloved wife of the late Grover Anderson. Her enduring legacy lives on through her children: Alan Keith Anderson of Houston, Texas, and Karen Diane Davis of Cincinnati, Ohio. Alongside them stand their spouses, Julie Anderson of Houston and Alan Davis of Cincinnati, who shared in nurturing the family spirit she so deeply valued.
Her grandchildren—Shannon (Dan) Wenning, Sean (Jennifer) Anderson, Erin (Lars) Sorenson, Katharine Block, Alexandra Davis, and Abigale Davis—carry forward her warmth, love, and inspiration. The treasured great-grandchildren Kirri Wenning, Griffin Wenning, and Aurora Anderson also hold a special place in the hearts of those who celebrate Joyce’s memory.
Joyce’s presence was one of grace and quiet strength, typified by her humility and her unwavering dedication as a mother and grandmother. Her love for nurturing her family and creating beauty with her hands will remain an enduring part of her legacy.
Joyce’s life invitation was always one of kindness, creativity, and love—a reflection of a woman who made the world around her more vibrant and full of heart.
