Lawrence J "Larry" Meyer, Jr., age 63, of Lebanon, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025, at Otterbein Senior Living. Born on October 10, 1961, he was a dedicated professional and a cherished family man whose legacy will forever resonate with those who knew him.
Larry had a distinguished career as an engineer at GE Aerospace, applying his expertise and passion for aviation to contribute significantly to the field. He held a master's degree in engineering, which was a testament to his commitment to excellence and innovation.
Beyond his career, Larry was an enthusiastic hobbyist who embraced his interests wholeheartedly. He built and flew model RC airplanes, capturing the fascination of aviation that filled his life with joy. An avid amateur photographer, Larry loved to document his travels, and he ensured that adventure was a constant companion, visiting 45 states across the country, always planning his next journey. His passion for aviation and travel also led him to volunteer at the Wright Patterson Air Force Museum, where he shared his love for flight with others. Additionally, Larry enjoyed serving as an assistant scout master, fostering a spirit of camaraderie and mentorship in the youth. He loved game nights and spent many years bowling every Friday night with friends. He was dedicated to his fitness routine and enjoyed spending time at the fitness center.
Larry leaves behind his beloved wife, Deborah "Debbie" (nee Stasiulis) Meyer; his son, Daniel (Nate Cobb) Meyer; and his daughter, Sarah (Jeremy) Giardina. He was a proud grandfather to his granddaughters, Madelyn and Adrianna Giardina. His sisters, Diana (Tim) Gannon, Teresa (John) Stiens, Mary (Charles) Grosser, and Barbara (Eric) Kenny, along with his brothers, Ken (Kathy) Meyer and Andrew (Lorrie) Meyer, will miss him dearly. Larry was also a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews, each of whom carries fond memories of his generous spirit.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence J Meyer, Sr. and Carol (nee Hobold) Meyer, who nurtured his passions and instilled values that defined his character.
A visitation will be held at St. Margaret of York Church in Loveland, Ohio, on Thursday September 25, 2025, from 9:30 AM until the Mass at 11:00 AM, followed by a private burial.
Larry's warmth, dedication, and adventurous spirit will be remembered fondly, and he will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.
