Margie Marie Miller

Margie Marie Miller (nee Young), of Mason, Ohio, was escorted by angels to her heavenly home on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 in the comfort of her home. She was born Friday, January 25, 1924 in Bronston, Kentucky to Elmer and Betsy (nee McClain) Young.

Living on a farm, Margie contributed to the family income by gardening, canning and selling vegetables and helping out with the chores and field work. The Queen of Hospitality, she was always concerned about the comfort of others and was able to whip up a country meal at any moment. Margie especially loved the Christmas season and her cooking and baking recipes have turned into much loved family traditions.

Both Margie and her husband, Joseph, were very active with Mason Church of God. In addition to caring for her home and family, Margie managed to work as a cashier in the lunchroom for Mason Schools and also at IGA and Thriftway. She will forever be loved and missed by all who knew her.

Margie was preceded in death by: parents, Elmer and Betsy Young; husband, Joseph W. Miller; sister, Lee Dora Bullington; and brother, Brent Young.

Margie is survived by: children, Roger (Jane) Miller, Valerie (Dann) Anderson, Greg (Betsy) Miller and Gary (Beverly) Miller; grandchildren, Peter (Shari) Miller and Ellen (Matt) Weed; great-grandchildren, Olivia Miller, Micah Miller and Summer Weed.

Visitation will be Monday, July 22, 2019 from 9:30 AM until time of Funeral Service at 11:30 AM at Mason Church of God, 204 Williams Street, Mason, Ohio 45040. Interment will immediately follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Mason. Reception will be held at Mason Church of God following the burial.
