Mark Oscar Steele, born on September 7, 1963, in Hamilton, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on December 11, 2025, at the age of 62, in his beloved hometown. A cherished Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, and Friend, Mark's life was marked by a profound love for his family and a zest for life that resonated with everyone he encountered.

Mark graduated from Cincinnati Christian School in 1981, setting off on a journey filled with both heartfelt connections and numerous hobbies that reflected his vibrant personality. He was known for his witty nature and dry sense of humor, traits that made him an engaging conversationalist. Mark had the unique ability to support and entertain those around him while never meeting a stranger; it was not uncommon for him to share the same captivating stories time and again, bringing joy to all who listened.

In 1991, Mark met Melissa Yvonne (nee Rosczuk) Steele at a young adult group at Pisgah Heights Baptist Church. Their first date fell on Easter Sunday, marking the beginning of a beautiful romance. By December of that same year, Mark proposed, and they were married on April 10, 1993. Melissa affectionately referred to him as Marcus, a name that echoed the deep connection they shared. Together, they raised a large family that brought Mark immense pride and joy.

As a dedicated father, Mark was always present for his children: Zachary Steele, Elizabeth (Lukas Gobell) Steele, Aleczander (Sydney Sheehan) Steele, Taylor (Timothy) Wyatt II, Faith Steele, and Jennah Steele. Mark's commitment to creating memories with his family was evident in his participation in school events, sports, and band performances—he never missed an opportunity to cheer his children on. His Grandchildren, Colson Steele, Sutton Steele, Kinsley Steele, Timothy Wyatt III, Isabelle Wyatt, and the upcoming new arrival of another Grandson, Rowan Aleczander Marcus Steele, were a source of endless happiness and pride, with Mark embracing his role as a devoted Grandfather.

His interests were varied and deep; he held a blackbelt in karate and enjoyed playing golf, especially alongside his sons. Mark loved the thrill of camping during winter, where the absence of snakes made the experience even more enjoyable. He was a musician at heart, having played drums in a band called "Lionheart," and he remained passionate about music, possessing an array of instruments including drums, a guitar, and amplifiers that filled his basement.

Mark was also known for his adventurous spirit, looking forward to obtaining his pilot’s license, and enjoying pastimes such as frisbee golf and softball. His fondness for his "felines" added warmth to his home, reflecting his kind-hearted and nurturing nature.

Mark leaves behind a loving family, including his wife Melissa, children and their partners, and his grandchildren. He is survived by his sister, Lisa (Timothy) Steele-Felix, sister-in-law, Jackie Alker, and many loving family members and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Paul Gibson and Barbara Ann (nee Brady) Steele, and his brother, Bryan Alker.
