Martha Cook

Martha Claire Cook, 87 of West Chester, passed away on July 28, 2025. Born to John W. and Marian (nee Weikart) Cook on August 15, 1937, in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Martha worked as a bank manager and retired from US Bank and Wells Fargo after many years of dedicated service. After her retirement, she chose to work part time at Hallmark & later at Pier One. She was a social person who enjoyed being around people. She volunteered countless hours at St John in the hospitality ministries.

She had a passion for Notre Dame football and the Cincinnati Reds baseball, reading her newspaper and the company of a good friend on lunch dates. She lived a simple life of faith and family. Martha’s time spent with her brother and nieces and nephews was cherished. Her trips to Florida and visiting friends and coworkers in Arizona were a treasured time for her.

Preceded in death by her parents, John and Marian Cook.

Martha is survived by her beloved brother, John (Ann) Cook, nieces and nephews, Tim (Kathy) Cook, Christy (Brian) Murphy and Emily (Joe) Pace, and six great nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, August 18th at 11:00am with a visitation one hour prior all at St John the Evangelist Church, 9080 Cincinnati Dayton Rd, West Chester Township, OH 45069. Inurnment to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
