Mary Haeussler

April 19, 1954 — February 14, 2021

Mary Kay Haeussler (nee Hilgeman) , 66 of Lebanon, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2021. Born to Richard and Rosemary (nee Kuennen) Hilgeman on April 19, 1954 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Mary was the Vice President and Business Manager of the Animal Care Centers and Animal Eye Institute since 1980. She had a true love for spending quality time with her grandkids and attending their school functions. Mary was known to her grandkids as Nana and she referred to them as the Crazy Eights.

She enjoyed entertaining at her home; whether it was a family party, cooking for the ones she loved, or making Christmas cookies; she was good at it all.

Mary was a huge OSU Buckeye football fan, enjoyed her travels to Marco Island with the family, pool parties, her flowers and taking care of her beautiful home and grounds. Mary was the best host and was a big gift giver. Some might say that Mary’s love language was gift giving and she was excellent at it.

Mary was a loving grandmother and mother and always put her family first.

Preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Rosemary Hilgeman and her brother, Richard Hilgeman.

Mary is survived by her husband of 46 years, Dr. David Haeussler, three children, Dr. DJ (Dr. Jayme) Haeussler, Alli (Joel) Hahn and Emily (Joey) Pursifull, the Crazy Eights: Logan, Dominic, Trey, Nolan, Caroline, Dane, Evelyn, and Harper, two siblings, Tom (Jenny) Hilgeman and Leann (Tim) Crowe, sister-in-law Linda Hilgeman, brother-in-law, Darryl (Phyllis) Haeussler, sister-in-law, Diane (Bob) Niehaus, many nieces and nephews: Kyle (Christine) Haeussler, Jenny (Joe) Voss, Shelly (Bill) Kilgallon, Tom (Sarah) Hilgeman, Tim (Stacey) Hilgeman, Ted (Kelly) Hilgeman, Todd (Mindi) Hilgeman, Katie (Dustin) Forney, Stefanie (Aaron) Horne, Sean Crowe (and fiancé Kelsey) and her big loving family of “The Good Guys.” She is also survived by dear cousins: Carol (Dallas) Horn, Linda (Dick) Rogers, Barb (Mike) Rehn, Sue Borcherding and many other dear friends and relatives.
