Michael Edward Ball, beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, age 74, of Loveland, Ohio, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2026, at his home. Mike was born on June 15, 1951 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Edward U. Ball and Nedra M. Ball. Mike is survived by the love of his life, Kathleen Murray Ball. Nothing was more important to Mike than Kathy and their family. He loved them dearly. Mike is survived by four children, Michelle (Blake) Edwards, Erica (Scott) Richards, Amy (Corey) Hall, Michael (Jessica) Ball, and ten grandchildren, Kaitlynn Kiehl, Alexis (Creighton) Fox, Genevieve (Jack Neptune) Lewis, Julianna Lewis, Gabriella Lewis, Jacob Lewis, Madison Ball, James Hall, Audrey Hall, and Ethan Ball, and two great-grandchildren, Theodore Fox and Louise Fox. Mike is survived by two sisters, Judy (Don) Gooden and Nancy (Bill) Maschmeyer, and sister-in-law Maureen (Mike) Cunningham, and brother-in-law Patrick (Lily) Murray; and also many nieces and nephews: Kristi (Jake) Allard, Craig Maschmeyer, Andrea (JD) Vonderheide, Lauren (Ronnie) Krass, Brittany Murray, Jennifer (Andrew) Cantillon, Natalie (Zack) Reboulet, Kelley Murray, PJ Murray, and Shannon Murray; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

Mike was a lover of music, played guitar, played viola, sang, wrote songs and was a supporter and season ticket holder for the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. Mike was an adventurer and could talk to anyone. From mountain climbing to bow-and-arrow hunting to scuba diving, Mike enjoyed the outdoors and pushing himself to physical limits which he proved again with his battle with cancer. He loved traveling and sports and instilled that love in his children. A consummate reader, Mike was knowledgeable in almost any subject. True to himself and his principles, he lived a simple life where he enjoyed spending time with Kathy the most...

The family would like to especially send our gratitude to Dr. Firdaus and the nurses and staff at the Montgomery Hematology & Oncology Center of The Christ Hospital.
