Michael Thomas Poole, affectionately known as Mike, was born on February 13, 1964, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He transitioned from this world on August 8, 2025, leaving behind a legacy deeply rooted in innovation and creativity. Mike was not just a profound thinker; he was the founder and president of Space Fabrication, a venture he steered since its inception in 2012. His career mirrored his academic pursuits – he graduated from LaSalle High School in 1982 and underwent nuclear engineering training while proudly serving in the U.S. Navy, where he distinguished himself as a Submarine Nuclear Propulsion Plant Operator and Emergency Welder, even earning the title of West Coast Sailor of the Year.

Mike's intellect was matched only by his enormous heart. He was widely loved and respected within his community, often described as someone with “too big of a heart.” Those who had the privilege of knowing him understood his brilliant mind was always at work, crafting, creating, and engineering new ideas that would push the boundaries of human capability. His talents extended beyond engineering—he was gifted at playing the guitar and singing, an artistic endeavor that brought joy to many.

In addition to his professional accolades, Mike was a jack of all trades, adept as a carpenter, electrician, and plumber, embodying the spirit of self-sufficiency. His skills did not just end with home improvement; he was an ordained minister, officiating weddings and committing to uplifting the lives of others. He was deeply involved with local causes, most notably making significant contributions to radio station B105, further reflecting his desire to give back to his community.

Among his proudest accomplishments was teaching himself to play golf, culminating in a victory at the Golf Channel amateur tour in 2010 held in Augusta, Florida. He was also a Fellow Craft, eagerly awaiting his Master Mason Degree, a testament to his dedicated character and commitment to personal growth.

Mike is survived by his life companion and fiancé, Beverly Thompson; his mother, Elizabeth (nee Hevermann) Poole; his son, Christopher (Kelly) Poole; stepchildren Ricky (Cassie) Wainscott, Charity, and Shannon Gregory; and grandchildren Casey, Cody, Cadin, Selena , Austin, Dillon, Darcy, Skylar, and Luke. He cherished his siblings, Steve (Laurie) Poole, Jenny (David) Graham, Margie Beyer, and Suzanne (Ryan) Flannigan, along with many loving family members and friends, including his close friends at Lake Cozy Dale, especially BJ and Heidi Wethington, who he considered family.

He now joins his father, Richard Poole, parents-in-law, Mildred and Philip Bustle, and brother-in-law, Kevin Beyer, in eternal rest. Michael Thomas Poole's life was a remarkable fusion of brilliance, creativity, and compassion. His memory will undoubtedly continue to inspire those who knew him and the fields he passionately contributed to.
