Mildred Wenning

Mildred Wenning, age 96, of Mason, Ohio, formerly Stamford, Connecticut, passed away peacefully at home on October 29, 2025, in Mason, Ohio. Born on December 20, 1928, in Stamford, Connecticut.

A bright light in the community, as an avid member of St. Susanna Catholic Church and the YMCA, where her joy and care always shined through. Mildred loved all types of nature as shown through her bird watching and searching for shells on the shores of Siesta Key, Florida. She was also a Jeff Gordon fan and was able to follow his whole career in NASCAR.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses, caregivers, and staff at the Hospice of Dayton for their love and attentive support to Mildred and the Wenning family.

Mildred was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend to all who knew her. She is survived by her daughters, Sandy Maloney and Sherry Wenning, son in law Dale Smith, grandchild Chris Maloney, great-grandchildren Bryson and Kynlee Maloney, and many extended family members and close friends. Mildred is reunited with her sister Barbara Bria and her grandson Matthew Maloney.

Visitation will be held at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio on December 1st from 5:30 - 6:30 PM and Tuesday, December 2, 10:00 - 11:00 St. Susanna Catholic Church, 616 Reading Road, Mason, Ohio followed by a Mass at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Hospice of Dayton or American Heart Association.
