Patricia Lynn McClanahan Boone, lovingly known as Patti, passed away on July 1, 2025, in Middletown, Ohio, leaving behind a legacy of love, warmth, and unyielding devotion to her family. She was born on November 26, 1958, in Dayton, Ohio, to Dwight and Shirley (Warner) McClanahan.

Patricia was destined to become a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who embraced every opportunity to nurture and support those around her.

Patti Lynn's love story began with a serendipitous dream about the man who would become her husband. They met in a most unlikely and unconventional way. A family reunion. On December 18, 1976, she and Roger L. Boone exchanged vows at Greenmont Church in Kettering, Ohio. Their love was palpable, exemplified by their unabashed public displays of affection—a constant reminder of the bond they shared, even if it occasionally left their children feeling a bit embarrassed.

Patricia was a woman of steadfast love and compassionate acceptance. Her open-door policy allowed all who entered her home to feel cherished for exactly who they were. Patti’s faith was enduring and ever-present, serving as an inspiration to those around her. She always adorned the rooms of her house with spiritual decor with a country flair.

An ardent supporter of her family's activities, Patricia invested her time as a coach for many soccer clubs. Beginning in 1988 with the Warrior Soccer Club for her daughters and ending with coaching her granddaughters with the Ohio United Soccer Club. Over more than 20 years she encouraged them and many other young athletes. Her enthusiasm was not limited to soccer, as she also passionately cheered on her children and grandchildren from the sidelines, her spirit always their staunchest advocate.

Patricia loved long car rides with her family, singing along with whatever was on the radio. She loved camping with family and friends, starting with a tent and eventually moving up to a fully equipped travel-trailer. Patti had an unusual affinity for playing video games. From Pacman to Mario to Halo and Rocket League, she had a youthful exuberance experienced with loved ones and without. Patti also loved her many canine companions through the years. Simply put, she loved her family and friends.

Throughout her life, Patricia faced challenges but remained unchanged in her faith. She fought cancer with ferocious courage to the very end. Patti will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 48 years, Roger; her devoted son, Josh; and her cherished daughters, Andrea (Rhett) Michael and Melissa (Nathan) Culp. Her grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Makayla, Jonathan, Ashley, Joshua, Madison, Autumn, and Nathan Jr., will carry forth her spirit of love and cheer as they navigate the world without her physical presence.

Patricia's family extends to her beloved siblings: Pastor David (Bonnie) McClanahan, Tim (Pat) McClanahan, and Dan (Linda) McClanahan. She also leaves behind a circle of brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, including Sandy Burgess, Gary (Mary) Boone, Bonnie Stewart, Rod Boone, and Judy Burgess, alongside many loving family members and friends who will forever treasure her memory. Additionally, she is preceded in death by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, including John Stewart, Marie Boone, Beau Burgess, Bud Burgess, and Butch (Janet) Burgess.

Patricia Boone's warmth and kindness will linger in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known her. Patti was shy and sweet, fierce and tough, brave and stubborn. She taught everyone the value of love, faith, and acceptance, creating a family that proudly continues her legacy. She is survived by her 4-legged companions, Roux Boone and Koda Culp, who surely felt the love that surrounded her.

In honor of Patricia's life, her visitation will take place on July 9, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor David McClanahan officiating at the Mueller Hicks Funeral Home & Crematory, located at 6780 Roosevelt Ave, Middletown, OH 45005.
