Patricia Hart Linesch - Obituary

Patricia Hart Linesch peacefully passed away on June 7, 2026.

Born on November 17, 1929, to Walter and Lillian Hart, Pat lived a life marked by faith, family, creativity, and grace. She was a proud alumna of Mother of Mercy High School and the University of Cincinnati: College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning, where she was an active member of Kappa Delta Sorority.

Pat was preceded in death by her adored husband of 40 years, John Henry Linesch, who passed away in 1994. In 2003, she found love again when she married John's beloved brother, Edward Francis Linesch. Together they shared ten joyful years surrounded by family and friends, traveling, entertaining, and embracing life until Edward's passing in 2013.

Pat is lovingly survived by her seven children: Leslie (Mark) Kuhlman, Jaime Linesch, John (Tracy) Linesch, Marne (Gary) Westermeyer, Jena (Bob) Hoffman, Heidi (Gerald) Shannon, and Tina (David) Black; 19 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren plus two on the way. She is also survived by her five stepchildren—Bill, Anne, Mark, David, and Beth—along with their spouses, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; preceded in death by her brother Tom Hart (Mary Rose) and leaves numerous nieces and nephews.

A woman of deep faith, Pat quietly lived the Gospel through service, hospitality, generosity, and love for family and community. Nothing brought Pat greater joy than her family. Having seven children in eight years was her greatest accomplishment and deepest source of pride. At St. Agnes School, she was the quintessential school volunteer—a servant leader whose energy and creativity seemed boundless. She conceived and led the ambitious project of painting large murals throughout the school's hallways, organizing and inspiring teams of volunteers to bring her vision to life.

After moving to All Saints Parish, Pat devoted many years to directing the CCD program and lending her artistic talents to parish projects, including decorating the rectory. She enriched her children's lives through frequent adventures to local treasures such as Krohn Conservatory, the Cincinnati Zoo, and the Cincinnati Art Museum, often filling the family station wagon with neighborhood children eager to join the fun. Her generous spirit extended beyond her immediate family. When her aging in-laws needed care, she transformed the family's attached garage into a comfortable apartment and lovingly cared for them until their deaths.

Blessed with a remarkable eye for beauty and a gift for creating elegant and welcoming spaces, Pat devoted her professional life to interior design. Through her business, Pat Linesch Interiors, she transformed homes and commercial spaces with creativity, sophistication, and impeccable taste.

An accomplished gardener, she delighted in cultivating beautiful landscapes filled with abundant blooms, many of which became award-winning floral arrangements. She was a lifelong member of the Gem of the Highlands Garden Club and the Cincinnati Woman's Club.

Pat will be remembered for her elegance, gracious spirit, artistic soul, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. She possessed a rare ability to make any place more beautiful and every gathering more welcoming. Whether designing a room, tending a garden, setting a table, or hosting family and friends, she brought warmth, creativity, and thoughtful attention to every detail. Her refined taste was matched by genuine kindness, and she carried herself with a quiet confidence that inspired admiration, affection, and gratitude in all who knew her.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 12, 2026 from 9:30-11:00 AM at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, 5720 Hamilton Mason Road, Liberty Township, Ohio 45011, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM; a reception will immediately follow in the church hall.
