Patricia Elaine Perry, affectionately known as Elaine, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2026, at Kettering Health Hamilton in Hamilton, Ohio, at the age of 66.
She was born on August 25, 1959, in Lima, Ohio to the union of Archie William Perry and Bertha (nee Woodley) Perry. Both of her beloved parents preceded her in death.
Elaine graduated from Lima Senior High School and went on to continue her education at Oberlin College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with concentrations in Studio Art and Art History, Creative Writing and Music. Her love for creativity and expression led her to further her studies, earning an Associate of Arts from the Center for the Media Arts in Computer Graphics and Television Arts.
Elaine began her career as an editorial and graphic arts assistant, demonstrating her innate creativity and passion for the arts. She later became an instructor in the creative writing program at Oberlin College, where she inspired students with her gentle guidance and dedication to the craft. Elaine pursued her entrepreneurial nature by becoming the owner of American Dream Enterprises. She also found great joy in crocheting, channeling her creativity into beautiful handmade pieces.
Elaine converted to Catholicism, where she found a deep sense of community within her church family.
Elaine is survived by her sister, Lori Perry, and cherished cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her aunt, Lucille Woodley.
In honor of Elaine’s life, visitation will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, at St. Gertrude the Great Roman Catholic Church, 4900 Rialto Road, West Chester, Ohio 45069, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A Rosary service will follow from 11:00 a.m. to 11:25 a.m. A Requiem Mass will begin at 11:25 a.m.
Entombment will take place on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Memorial Park Cemetery, 3000 Harding Highway, Lima, Ohio at 11:00 a.m.
Repast luncheon will be held in Lima, Ohio on Saturday, February 28, 2026.
