Richard Joseph Hartmann, Jr., of Lebanon, Ohio, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021 at the age of 66. He was born Friday, March 4, 1955 in Shelbyville, Michigan to Richard Joseph and Shirley A. (nee Handorf) Hartmann, Sr.
Richard loved to read his bible and looked forward to his study groups. He was giving in nature, and loved fiercely. He had an appreciation for life and enjoyed listening to music, reading, using his golf cart to enjoy nature, playing cards, and going to the theater. He was generous and donated many hours volunteering at The Atrium Medical Center and to the Genealogy Department at the Lebanon Senior Center. Richard will be forever remembered and cherished by those that knew him.
Richard was preceded in death by: mother, Shirley A. Hartmann; and a brother, Joe Hartmann.
Richard is survived by: daughters, Sarah (Marc) Brinker and Cherie Hartmann (Lance Trester); grandchildren, Kaitlynn Hampton, Brenden Brinker, and Isabella Brinker; great-grandchild, Charlee Folkner; father, Richard J. Hartmann, Sr.; sister, Annette (Mike) Geiger; brothers, Ed (Kathy) Hartmann, Steve (Candy) Hartmann, Dave (Karen) Hartmann, John Hartmann, Andy (Melissa) Hartmann, and Ron (Ellen) Hartmann; a host of nieces and nephews; and many loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 16, 2021 from 11:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 12:00 Noon at Hope Church, 4934 Western Row Road, Mason, Ohio 45040. The family will continue on for the interment immediately following at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
