Ronald Joseph Allesi of West Chester, Ohio, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with leukemia and renal failure.
Ron was born on January 31, 1947, in Jamestown, New York, to Joseph Sam Allesi and Ida Camarata. He graduated from high school in 1965 and proudly enlisted in the United States Navy. After completing boot camp, he attended Hospital Corps School, earning his certification as a Hospital Corpsman. He was stationed at St. Albans Naval Hospital, where he served as head corpsman in Central Supply and also worked in the pediatric ward until his discharge.
Following his military service, Ron returned to Fredonia, New York, where he worked in the automotive industry and as a supermarket manager. In 1968, he enrolled at Albany Medical Center, where he earned a degree and certification in Respiratory Therapy. He went on to work simultaneously at three hospitals, dedicating himself to caring for others.
Ron was deeply devoted to his church family at TCA/New Heights. He had a passion for serving others, especially through running the volunteer food pantry, cooking meals for summer day camp, and sharing God’s love with everyone who walked through the doors.
He was best known for his love of people, especially children. A child at heart, Ron found great joy in entertaining and inspiring others through magic. He was an accomplished magician who collected rare and antique magic artifacts from around the world. Ron was honored as an Order of Merlin member, recognizing over 25 years with the International Brotherhood of Magicians, and he was also a lifetime member of the Academy of Magical Arts at the Hollywood Magic Castle.
Ron is survived by his beloved wife, Hang (Halley), along with many dear friends who became like family to him.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 4th from 5pm – 6pm at New Heights Church, 7350 Dixie Hwy, Fairfield, OH 45014, with funeral services following at 6pm.
