Ronald Schultz went home to be with Jesus and reunite with his wife on May 27, 2025, at the age of 92. He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Parish and her husband Tom, daughter, Pamela Pesto and her husband Al, and four grandchildren, Grant and Nicole Parish, and Al III and William Pesto. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Jeannie Schultz, his sister-in-law Becky Mills and her husband Clyde, his sister-in-law Jessica Flaherty and her husband John, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Deward and Thelma (nee Hov) Schultz, his beloved wife of 65 years Natalie “Kit” Schultz, and siblings Monie Carlson and Jim Schultz.

Ron grew up in Minnesota, where he loved to fish and hunt. He worked in the family lumber yard and enjoyed family vacations at the lake. During high school, he played the trombone in the marching band and also played on the football and basketball teams.

While in college at the University of Minnesota, Ron joined the ROTC and was also a member of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity. After receiving his degree in Business Administration, he entered the U.S. Army where he spent most of his time in Germany and rose to the rank of First Lieutenant.

After leaving the service in 1962, he joined General Electric in the Business Training Program with the Hotpoint Division in Chicago. Ron graduated from Northwestern University and received his MBA degree. He met the love of his life, Kit, on a blind date in Chicago and they were married a year after they first met, on July 12, 1958. They had two daughters while living there, before being transferred to Virginia. They were later transferred again to Prospect, Kentucky, where they lived for 50 years.

Ron worked at General Electric for 25 years, retiring as Manager of Organization and Manpower Operations. After retirement, he started several businesses including Active Ankle Systems. Ron was an active member of St. Francis in the Fields Episcopal Church, where he worshipped, served as the Senior Warden, and attended many bible studies. He was a member of The Brotherhood of Saint Andrew and served as the Treasurer of the Episcopal Diocese.

Ron loved the Lord, his family, his friends, his caregivers at the Christian Village at Mason, and his poodle(s) named Shadow. He was very generous, thankful, considerate, compassionate, forgiving, and wise. Ron’s hobbies included playing tennis, ping pong, and bridge, and also growing vegetables in his amazing garden. He was an avid reader of the Wall Street Journal and enjoyed investing in the stock market. He also enjoyed going to the beach every summer with his family, where he loved to body surf.

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the Mason Christian Village Stone Center, 411 Western Row Road, Mason, Ohio, 45040. The memorial service will be held at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in his name to St. Francis in the Fields Episcopal Church or to your favorite animal shelter.
