Rongquan Xie, a beloved and cherished family man, passed away on September 15, 2025, in Middletown, Ohio. He was born on January 17, 1935, in China, and his journey through life was marked by a commitment to both his profession and his family.
Rongquan dedicated himself to a rewarding career as a civil engineer, where his contributions are remembered with respect and admiration. His educational journey culminated in earning an Associates Degree, which laid the foundation for his professional achievements.
Beyond his technical expertise, Rongquan was known for his creative spirit. In his younger years, he enjoyed drawing and exhibited a notable talent for playing the harmonica. This artistic inclination complemented his hands-on hobbies, which included carpentry and gardening. He took great pleasure in nurturing the beauty of nature and creating lasting structures with his own hands.
Rongquan's pride and joy derived from his close-knit family. He is survived by his loving wife, Yulan Jia, with whom he shared a remarkable marriage of over 66 years. Together, they raised three children: Yu Mukherjee, Yanxie (Lingguo Meng) Xie, and Wei (Wentao Yu) Xie, each of whom carries forward his legacy. His grandchildren, Anondo Mukherjee, Alok (Atzin) Mukherjee, Dekang Meng, Becky Yu, and Ryan Yu, were additional sources of happiness for Rongquan, and he was deeply proud of their accomplishments and continued growth.
Rongquan Xie leaves behind a lasting imprint on the hearts of his family and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His life will be remembered for its dedication to his loved ones, his professional pursuits, and his varied interests that showcased a rich tapestry of creativity and skill.
