Ronnie McKinney, affectionately known as “Looney”, was born on June 2, 1961, in Dayton, Ohio. He passed away on June 8, 2025, in Middletown, Ohio, following a brief but courageous battle with lung cancer. Ronnie was an accomplished dry wall installer and finisher, a vocation that showcased not only his skill but also his natural ability to build and repair almost anything.

Throughout his life, Ronnie embraced a simple yet fulfilling existence. Known for his typically quiet demeanor, he had a remarkable ability to bring joy and laughter to those around him, particularly in the company of family and friends, where he often showcased his goofy side. His passion for fishing was a treasure that he shared with generations of McKinney's, creating lasting memories rooted in love and connection. Additionally, he looked forward to watching "Big Time Wrestling" on television every week, never missing an episode.

Ronnie was a dedicated father to his children, Ronnie (Amy Moore) McKinney, Zackary (Kimberly Kinner) McKinney, Shyanne (Andrew Bowlin) McKinney, and Tina (Michael) Bush. He was also a proud grandfather to twelve grandchildren: Andrew McKinney, Colton McKinney, Hunter McKinney, Mariah McKinney, Xander McKinney, Forest Bowlin, Nicholas Bowlin, Granger Bowlin, Isabella Bowlin, Eleanor Bush, and Elizabeth Bush, and Elaina Bush. Ronnie deeply valued his relationships with his siblings, Achel McKinney, Jane “Reedy” Whisman, and Jeff McKinney, as well as the countless nieces and nephews who filled his life with joy. He cherished the time spent with his girlfriend, Donna Runyon, and held his best friend, Carl “Homer” Tabor, close to his heart.
