Susan Louise Tourtellotte

Susan Louise Tourtellotte, 70, of Mason, Ohio, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2025, following a brief but courageous battle with illness, surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 10, 1955, in Springfield, Massachusetts, to Cynthia Baptiste Daley and Oswald Daley, Susan was a creative and hardworking woman whose strength, warmth, and devotion to family touched all who knew her.

Susan's artistic spirit shone through in everything she did. For many years, she worked at Wilton's clothing store in Ware, where they also leaned on her to draw and color the store's signs, bringing beauty and creativity to her work. Susan also shared her cooking talents with Stuart and Betsy Johnsen for many years at Johnsen's Catering and The Village Store in Wilbraham, Massachusetts. Her work ethic, passion for food prep and eye for detail made her invaluable. She finished her career at Panera Bread, retiring in December 2024.

Soft-hearted, funny, and endlessly kind, Susan had a gift for bringing joy to everyone around her. She loved to dance, and her laughter was infectious.

Above all, Susan treasured her family with her whole heart. After losing their mother at a young age, she and her siblings forged an unbreakable bond, remaining close throughout their lives and cherishing their trips together, creating memories that will last forever.

In 2001, she married the love of her life, Edward Tourtellotte. Thanksgiving was her favorite holiday, and this year brought the gift she treasured most - her entire family gathered together.

Though small in stature, Susan possessed an incredible strength and fighting spirit that even amazed her doctors. She found deep contentment in the simple joys of life: being cozied up at home with her elusive cat, "Baby," watching her children thrive, and spending time with her beloved grandchildren.

Susan is survived by her devoted husband, Edward Tourtellotte of Mason, Ohio; her daughters, Rebecca Wenning (Ben) and their children Jacob, Tate, and Ty, Elizabeth House (Matthew) and their daughter Clara, and Megan Shelton and her children Michael and Denora; her stepdaughter, Kristen Hilton; her sisters, Yvonne Eriksen and Andrea Blood (Brian); her brother, Paul Daley (Mary); her sister-in-law and dear friend, Cathy Sullivan; her stepmother, Nicole Daley; and many cherished nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends who were blessed to know her. She was preceded in death by her mother, Cynthia Baptiste Daley, her father, Oswald Daley, and her sister, Brenda Chobot.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff at UC West Chester for their incredible care and compassion during Susan's final days.

A celebration of life for family and friends will be held at The Springfield Elks Club in Springfield, Massachusetts on January 24, 2026, as an all-day event beginning at noon.
