William Jamieson Curtis, known affectionately as Bill, was born on April 2, 1956, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He departed this life unexpectedly at his home in Middletown, Ohio on September 7, 2025, leaving behind a legacy marked by hard work, creativity, and a profound love for his family.

Bill dedicated his career as a skilled carpenter and later served as a plant manager at Vulcan Oil Company, where he was respected not only for his work ethic but also for his assertive personality that inspired those around him. Throughout his lifetime, he took great pride in his profession, engaging with every project as an opportunity to create a better world for those he loved.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Bill cherished teaching martial arts during his college years, a passion he nurtured and generously passed down to his family. His dedication to sharing knowledge and instilling confidence in others was a testament to his character.

Beyond his career and teaching, Bill found joy in various hobbies that enriched his life and the lives of those around him. He had a passion for riding his Harley, which brought him a sense of freedom and adventure. He was also an artist at heart, excelling in using acrylics on canvas to recreate beautiful landscapes and scenes, as well as writing short stories and poems that conveyed his imaginative spirit.

He is survived by his beloved mother, Patricia Curtis; his wife, Tami (nee Sulken) Curtis; and his sons, Albert (Mary) Hsueh and Ian (Sarah) Curtis. Bill's family also includes step-children Sasha Johnson, Selena (Tony) Grine, Simone Johnson, Syrie (Nick) Sakemiller, and Jessica Mitchell. He was a proud grandfather to Tyson and Kate Hsueh, Ava and Olivia Curtis, Bruce, Nick, Brandon, Shane, and Shawn Vincent, Luke and Jacob Grine, Nathan, Elise, and Elaina Johnson, Gwen Sakemiller, and Kaden and Owen Selby. He is further survived by his siblings, Andy (Mary) Curtis, Rex (Kathy) Curtis, and Jan Kellner.

Bill's proudest accomplishments were not solely professional; rather, his greatest achievements were found in the laughter and happiness of his family. He consistently made time for his children, taking them to parks and spending joyous days downtown.

He is preceded in death by his father, Everett Curtis.
