Christine A. Kinnaman

July 13, 1942 — February 16, 2022

Christine A. Kinnaman (nee Southall), of Evendale (formerly of West Chester), passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 16, 2022.  She was born Monday, July 13, 1942 in Cleveland, Ohio to Samuel and Jeanne (nee Knobel) Southall.

On March 22, 1968, Christine would marry the love of her life, Tom Kinnaman, after knowing him for only 6 weeks. Together they would share a life filled with love, humor, and family.

Christine was a warm and loving soul. She loved her husband and family unconditionally and had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren. Her caring touch flowed over into her career as a nurse with her fondest memories being her time at Brookside Care Center working with developmentally challenged people. Christine was a self-taught seamstress and that eventually trickled over to her love for quilting. She was known for carrying on the family tradition of baking, with recipes dating back 2 generations. Christine could often be found in her garden planting and weeding – sometimes losing herself for hours. She was a devoted member of Christ the King; joyously participating in the choir, Bible study, and many other service and social groups within the church. She cherished her sisters in Beta Sigma Phi and looked forward to any opportunity to spend time with them.

Christine was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Kinnaman and her parents, Samuel Southall and Jeanne Brodie.

Christine is survived by her cat, Beaux, and her children: Diana (Michael) Mullenix, John Kinnaman and Jeanne (Michael) Bauer; daughter-in-law, Jessie Kinnaman; grandchildren, Justin (Jennifer) Walsh, Ryan (Cas Strattyn) Mullenix, Lucy Mullenix, Ashley Kuemmerling, Tyler Kinnaman, Jesse Kinnaman, Kylie Kinnaman, Emily Kinnaman, Marcus Bauer and Raegan Bauer; great-grandchildren, Lilly Walsh, Katie Weiner-Kinnaman, Byron Weiner-Kinnaman and Bradley Weiner-Kinnaman; sister, Pamela Brodie (Ben Price).

Christine's family would like to thank the West Chester Hospital ICU for their help and care over the past few days.
